In Tetris you try to steer falling Sprites, so that they form horizontal lines. After getting a full line, it is removed. Sprite stops, after it hits some reserved cell.
Tetris is always made and adjusted so, that eventually you lose and game doesn't last very long. : Fall speed raises a little after each dropped sprite. Removal of the line slows down the speed. With default setting it is difficult to drop over 100 lines. With default settings one game, with 20 to 50 dropped lines lasts 5 to 20 minutes.
Game is based to time and timer interval, with what the game brings sprites to screen. Game reduces drop interval after each dropped line. Time is increased after each line removal.
Game has also special Bottom line bonus. By default bonus increases current timer interval. Then it grants you one bonus for Function key controlled bonuses. You get the bonus after line removal. Bonus needs, that after removal only the bottom line has reserved cells. With default board it is not possible to clear the whole game area. In default game, bottom line bonuses are rather rare. Typically you play most games without getting a single bonus.
When you play the game, you should keep game box clean. When interval is 1000 ms fall to bottom lasts 20 seconds. But in full box, you have only few seconds for rotating, moving and fitting the sprite.
Typically when you play the game, first you search column and position for falling sprite. Then you fast forward sprite to the bottom with down arrow. After you lose touch to smooth fitting and removal system, it doesn't usually last long before default game ends. It is possible to build original Tetris in game settings. Original Tetris misses Bottom-line bonuses and timer resets.
Default game grants you one bonus entry for new game. With this entry you can wither reset timer once and alternatively remove one line from the game. Increase to board size needs, that you get one bottom line entry. Simple ease to bonus system comes, when you increase the number bonus entries for new game.
? Keyboard works only then, when game box has input focus. Both left and right mouse clicks sets focus to box. Buttons and edit boxes return to game box after click or enter.
? Sprite begins to fall before it becomes visible. Fall begins after right side bar forwards, you can start to steer and rotate falling sprite. Feature is useful, when you are about lose the game, and there is not much time and space for maneuvering sprites.
? Sprite is not locked, when it collides with reserved cell. Sprite is movable until next Sprite is brought to game.
CONTROLS
Keyboard
- Left and right arrows move falling Sprite to left and right.
- Up arrow rotates sprite.
- Down arrow speeds up the fall.

- Wheel rotates sprite and speeds up the fall. When you roll wheel towards yourself, sprite rotes. Roll away from you speeds up the drop.
STATS
Game collects name independent stats from best played games. Entries in stat ini file are grouped by used settings. Groupkey has board size, initial interval and everything, which affects to game. Besides best entries, game calculates averages from all played games.
List view's default and file sort order "lines + time" was built without much thinking. Game was already published, when the small fault was noticed. It was not possible to fix it anymore. List view supports ascending-descending column sorting. Sort system keep previous order, you can get any order you wish to the view.
When for example addition of one row costs more than one bonus, view's bonus columns looks faulty. In this case Adds column has number of lines, which were added, Used column has the number of entries you have for buying bonuses. Used column is not sum of Reset, Rems and Add columns.
Stats are located in Tetris Ini file. Bracketed Entries, which begins with W are best played games, A entries are used average calculations. If you collect best entries into some entry, playing and finishing the game once, will reorder the entry in file.
SETTINGS
With Board Width and Height you can change standard board size to custom size. Maximum size 100 x 100 cells. Change takes place, when you begin next games.
Interval fields sets timer values. All values are milliseconds. One second is 1000 milliseconds.
- New Sprite sets the amount timer value is decreased after new sprite is dropped to game.
- Removed line sets the amount timer value is increased after removal of one line.
- per consequent adds given millisecond value which added to each line, you manage to remove with one stopped sprite.Bottom line bonuses
Bottom line bonus has immediate and delayed bonuses.Immediate bonus is set with Bottom Bonus field. Possible field values are :
0 : Disables both immediate and delayed bonuses
1-10000 : flat millisecond value, which is added into timer interval.
-1 : Double current line removal's effect to timer interval.
-2 : Reset timer to it's initial valueDelayed bonus increases number of bonuses you can use with F5, F6 and F7 function keys.
- With Bonus Gains, you set the number of bonus entries you get into your use, after you manage to temporarily clear the screen.
- With Bonuses for new, you set the number of bonus entries, you get, when game begins.Cost of fields sets the number of bonus entries, you need before you can use name bonus. Setting Cost Of field to 0, allows you to use the bonus as many times as you wish.

- You can set number of best entries, you want to collect into stats.
- You can set the maximum number of players which are saved and showed in player selection combo box. You can also set maximum number of visible players, when you open the player list.

This game is 100% freeware game. As long as you don't temper Exe file's Copyright data, everything else is okay, but direct and indirect money making with the game is forbidden. With pre-estimated popularity and somehow commercial distribution games value would raise to way over one million Euros or Dollars.
Game is primarily made for Windows XP and Windows 2000 operating system. It works also with Finnish 64 bit Windows 7 pro. Another possibility is English 32 bit Windows 8 Pro.
