Boys of Putworks and Girls of Game Hall
When you were founded ?
Boys of Putworks was founded in the early summer 2008. Initially the band was a trio. There was drummer, bassist and solo player. Jack is only a composer, he wrote and writes melodies. After the Live-3 project was launched, he needed players for his songs.
Space Waves, our first album, got it's first bigger release in the Spring 2009. The album was initially released as part of the big Deadlock and Walk Corp Site. Space Waves was released a month or two before everything changed dramatically.
Who are you ?
We are nothing. Old studio musicians and background players. Names of the band members varies quite a lot. Just like the number of the players.
In the very beginning Boys were nothing but cartoons, you see in the logo. In here Boys are still sometimes cartoons and sometimes not. When boys are cartoons in here, their comments are composed by Jack. The founder and leader of the band.
The background story of the base boys, who played Space Waves is very common. Long time ago they tried to get an agreement with record company, for their musical productions. The company turned them down, and they started to make non-commercial music.
How popular you actually are ?
We have our listeners. We make music primarily for the people, who have listened music for longer times. And also to the young listeners.
There aren't any reliable stats about the visitors, and the pages they visit. But the traffic based estimations from listening counts are very near to the listening counts of the most popular commercial artists. Listening counts of the recent audio tracks are calculated in millions. Just like it is with the most popular commercial audio tracks.
In the spring 2012 you were said and suspected to be the most popular band in the world ?
In popularity we collaborate here with our composer-manager Jack. He had large background group of his own. From the things he did in the past. Nowadays there is also a Game Hall. It was opened in the autumn 2012. It has it's players and visitors. There are awful lot of people, who checks Remember Me game and it's cards almost every day.
You have 50 to 100 million listeners ?
We do not have dedicated fans. 50 to 100 millions is an estimation from the people, who occasionally listens to our music. And visits this part of the site. The listener base grew very heavily, after we gave up from the guest stars, and released Nursery Rhymes in the late spring 2012.
The estimation for the Christmas 2013 was around 200 millions. In the February 2013 it seemed, that the estimation was way too low, and it was done again. As result Boys listener base was estimated to be app. 200 millions in Western countries and even more in Asian countries. The total number of listeners and players was estimated to be around 500 millions worldwide. Boys' experimental and rather hastily made EP, Hungarian Ghost - November 2012, gave a huge boost to Boys' popularity.
Albums ?
As Putworks - Boys Of Putworks we have made Space Waves - 2008, Space Covers - 2011 and Ghost Opera - 2012.
Depending on the way you count in the Autumn - Winter 2009 there was Music Box 1 and Music Box 2, mostly for younger audiences. Pre versions from Space Covers and Ghost Opera.
Then there are three extremely popular EP's from the 2012.
- Nursery Rhymes - May-June 2012
- Hungarian Ghost - End of November 2012
- The Rocking Ransom Notes - Christmas 2012.After Nursery Rhymes, The Hungarian Ghost was a very big surprise and very popular EP. The experimental EP overshadowed the Rocking Ransom Notes Christmas EP, which was released a month after the Hungarian.
In between the Rhymes and Hungarian there was the special release from Holy Ghosts. Our cover from Beatles' Yesterday was the hit of the Autumn 2012. It was released in memory of the Jack's recently passed great uncle. Special Occasions EP from the summer 2012, with it's two birthday songs has also been a big success.
In the February 2013 Boys released their next EP, Nursery Rhymes volume 2. It was made from the new Nursery Rhymes in Space Covers. No big falls or surprises with the EP.
Space Waves is credited to Putworks and Jack ?
Texts on Boys' album covers are embedded to graphics. After the cover is ready, it is very difficult to make any changes to the cover material.
The Putworks name was printed on Space Waves covers, before the band was named as Boys of Putworks. We didn't have a name, when the covers were made. No-one believed that album would be a great success. As it was.
Your most popular album ?
Space Waves was very popular. Do not have many numbers from it. But two years after the release it was still as popular as the albums which topped the charts all over the world. Two years after the release Space Waves was still almost as popular as Rihanna's Talk That Talk ( from which we have exact numbers ) was right after the release. And before the album was released in web, we did offer the ready made album for the record companies. Asked a commercial distribution deal for it. Didn't get it.
From later productions Hungarian Ghost EP has been much like Space Waves.
Nursery Rhymes are also very popular.
Yes they are. Gather new younger audiences all the time.
Nursery Rhymes I was extremely popular. Each song release dug big holes into the world wide music sales.
The only existing full length version from the Looney Toones theme is the leading song of the EP. In long term popularity Teletubbies is another big hit from the EP.
From the Rhymes II Chattanooga-Choo-Choo and Mr. Elephant are the names of the leading song and loved artist. Addams Family is another very popular track from the remix EP. It was also very popular in Space Covers, where it was released for the first time.
Bugs Bunny was the most popular Rhyme from the Space Covers. But Hungarian Ghost took quite a lot from it's attraction. Hungarian Ghost songs are Hungarian Dances from Brahms. Bugs Bunny theme is Hungarian Rhapsody 2 from Listz. Bugs Bunny was released a year before Hungarian Ghosts. Bugs didn't have a chance against the Ghosts.
You are making cover songs.
We are making songs for our listeners. They seem to like the covers. In the beginning Jack asked us to play few covers from the popular children songs. For children and younger audiences.
In general levels making music, you cannot buy from the shops anymore, belongs to our principles. Or at least used to belong to our principles.
You are making new versions from your old songs.
Yes we are. By the time original plays loses their attraction. New version from the old song keeps it worth listening. Doing new versions from the old songs, when we do not have anything else or special to do. Much like a hobby. Need them also for the badly delayed live performances.
The girls, you are trying to sell your music with sex ?
No. We are not selling our music to anyone. The girls come from collaboration with Jack, they have been on the ATS sites far more longer than we.
You do not have social medias.
We did. After Jack found out that Americans and US movie medias resets the public stats, he closed all social medias. Not interested in things and activities like that.
You are never in publicity or in other medias.
We have never forbidden anyone to write and publish stories from us. In Jack's history there is a big, dirty and disgusting mess. When you are involved and on the other side, you cannot say much about Boys anymore. It is very easy to play bold and bright in front of a young, inexperienced, good-hearted person. Without being nothing but a brainless moron and shameless thief. By yourself.
Boys of Putworks is an American Group.
No. You got it wrong. We are Europeans. The music we make is also Euro-music. In general levels European pop-rock music is more melodic and the sound is softer. Rap is probably the best example from the difference in tastes. Rap is very popular in US, and less popular in Europe.
In our music the difference is visible too. When we release new songs, in Europe they get their peaks in popularity right away. In US it always takes a while before the songs peak.
You do not get much mail from your listeners.
No. We do music to the secondary genre. We do not have dedicated fans, like the musicians, who do music to some primary genre.
But you are very popular.
So are many classical orchestras. They have listeners, which are much like ours. Almost all music listeners listen classical music. Quite a many have classical music also in their record collections. Alongside with the music from the primary genre.
Remember Me has lots of players.
Yes it does. Although it is considered as Boys listener service. In popularity it competes with Boys.
Regular Remember Me card updates gives us an opportunity to bring something new and fresh to the site everyday. Without card updates we would have to bring something else to the site all the time.
The game has currently 400 cards. There are lots of graphics which can be used as basis for the cards. The biggest problem with game is the size of the card base. The randomizer has been updated many times, for handling the increasing number of cards. After latest it should be fully functional and fast enough for ( hopefully ) at least one year. The previous version got stuck and it was too slow for the custom boards.
It is a game for girls.
It is a game for every one. There aren't many games for the girls, so it has more girl-stuff than boy-stuff. The difference is small.
It is an educational game.
It has some educational features.
You do not play it by yourselves.
Not often for fun. You have to check how the cards and texts looks in the game after each update. Game makers hardly ever plays their own games. They play games which made by the others. Game makers are not like music makers. Music makers listens their own music quite often. Just for fun.
You have sponsors.
Don't try this at home or on your own site. Our sponsors provides us shields against the power keepers, then they pay copyright fees to the third parties. Without support from our sponsors the site would've been closed long time ago, and we would be in jail.

Site is public. Your privacy is protected here. No data is gathered from your visits and from yourself. DPS is not tracking or paying any attention to the visitors of the site. All stats and logs ( which gather visitor data ) are disabled. Due to the vast visitor amounts it would also be impossible for 3rd party gather any data ( with some value ) from the visitors. The same system goes with Rihanna's and other popular music makers sites.
Since pages do not ask and gather any private data, the data 3rd parties can gather from the visitors is also limited. Deadlock sites have been in the web over 10 years. They belong to the most popular and powerful sites in the web.
The site is and will be based on DHTML 4 and related Java-Scripts. Very important thing from DPS's side. You can always visit the site with older browsers, which do not reveal your identity and location to US and EU authorities. And curious commercial clowns. With DHTML-5 browsers and on the sites which are built with it, you are always completely naked. Your permission for ripping the clothes off from you is only a nominal request.
Unchanged Cookie Policy : This site do not use cookies. Since stored cookies are circled through server, the site policy prevents the usage of the cookies. Circulation increases the server load, and gives 3rd parties a possibility gather private data from your visits. Copyright Notice
In principle, the songs boys are making for the site, are unique attractions to the At You Service site. The songs are not registered for commercial use. On commercial sites and in commercial use the usage of the things, you see over and under the site, is forbidden. Allowed only by literal permission or agreement. Non commercial use and usage with minor financial interest is allowed. It is also the way R&D handles the copyrights. It also the way most of the non-licensed free things in the web are actually copyrighted ( not necessarily mentioned ). When you start to make bigger amounts of money or your living with the free stuff, you usually need a permission.
If you are for example making a video from your holiday in Barbados, you can start or end your video with Boys' version from Barbados' national anthem. Although there aren't any download buttons ( due the nature of site and music you can listen here ), you are free to grab boys music to your music player / computer / game console / cellular etc. When you do so it would be nice if you left the tags in the downloaded mp3 files unchanged.
An example from the minor commercial use is, when you have a web-site of your own. And you gather small donations for / from the things you offer for downloads, without asking payments from each and every download ( e.g. freeware programs ), you can use the stuff from this site freely on your own site.
