Salt water filter allows seaside cities and areas to convert ocean water into lake water quality fresh water. Filter is based on research on the lethalness of ocean water. Filter can provide better household water than steamer.

Almost all farmers, who have big fields at river or lakeside, have them. You can use tax-free fuel in the pumps. Salts share in seawater is around 5%, when you build the filter, might want to lead the filtered salt and dirt back ocean or sea.
How long the tubes can be ?
Depends on diameter. Push pump at waterline doesn't limit length or height. You can build wells to watering system. Fill them with kick and natural flow. Nearby well saves the money, you need for transferring the water.
