Rips from long TV series consume lots of disk space. Some 20 year long series needs almost 1 TB disk space with Dvd quality. Quality of footage is often poor. There are few series, not very likely to watch again. Checked Dvd Shrink program, with 50% packing quality is still fairly good and packing halves required disk space. Dvd Shrink packs the files, when you rip them from Dvd. Ripping .. with Windows XP ... doesn't take much longer than direct copy.

Pack often also failed rips, movies, which are ripped, but not very interesting. Nowadays player is short on new interesting movies. Existing over 1 000 movie content is fairly well remembered and consumed. Listening music, not using movie players much at the moment. Player increases demand for new movies.

Player is nice companion for retirees and others, who have lots of spare time. To people, who suffers from short or long term boredom.

You have had the player nine years already.
Yaps. Player lasts easily as long as the rest of AV system. No need to buy replacements with one or two year interval. Player hasn't blown a single optical drive yet. Still ripping Dvd's with the same drives, I purchased in 2013. They are not in top notch condition anymore. Trays don't always open, using newer drive for ripping old and-or scratched discs. Sometimes aging makes Dvd unreadable without scratches and visible signs from physical damage. Quite often washing with 30C water and soap makes poor DVD fully readable again.

Very unfortunate, that Sony Spider failed to build fully functional BD system. 
BD-disc quality footage would improve the picture and increase disk space consumption.
Shift from VHS to DVD took place quickly. DVD sales never declined like BD sales.
VHS picture quality is close match to DVD. s-VHS is just as good or even better than DVD. If you don't see or know the source, it is difficult to say, whether you are watching VHS or DVD footage. VHS tape suffers from aging.

Can you get the oil farming going ?
Of course you can. From common oil plants, you get around 400 liters per hectare. With currently used farming methods, oil price must raise to over $500 barrel, before farmers can start to farm replacements for ground oil. Without over $500 market price, you must compensate the gap in between the price and production cost. In 2035 oil prices don't have limits anymore. Production costs of commonly used goods gets so heavily connected with oil prices.

In baking basic components are butter-margarine and flour. Fat acts as glue, which converts flour grains together. 
Both fat and sugar creates air bubbles into baking. Sugar and egg set hardness of baking. Sugar free bread is always softer than delicatessens and cookies. Candy, which doesn't have flour, is hard as rock.

You can renew solid or jelly like sauce leftovers with water and warming. After you have created fat-flour connection, it doesn't get broke easily.
In typical sauce making you combine fat with flour before you combine flour with water. After water addition, you boil the created flour-fat system with embedded water.

Could remind you, that your grades from cooking chemistries were very low. Unfortunate, that your grades from plastic and polyester making chemistries seems to be at the same levels with cooking. Due to boldly forbidden lab and lab site, cannot even think of trying to research and resolve the missing links for you. With fully transparent cauldrons, you can get warm into food faster and more evenly than with opaque cauldrons. Thick, opaque cauldron fits very poorly into microwave. Low, open plate suits well into microwave warming.

10 million barrel daily fuel consumption is a match to around 1 TWh electric power plant capacity. One nuclear reactor produces around 1 GWh electric power second. 
When talking about real-life shift, coal plants are the only ones, with what you can build the new capacity. Nuclear plants will run out of fuel 
Rivers are already harnessed. World's uranium and fluorine reserves are small. Same goes to your 300 year old electro chemical batteries key elements and raw materials.

One thousand nuclear plants would cost you around $3 trillions. Coal plants are quite a lot cheaper. Windmills and solar plants can never be used as primary plants. Weather hardly ever follows the consumption. In bad weather both plants energy production falls to zero. You need around 500 windmills for 1 GWh power plant. For 1 TWh you would need at least 500 000 windmills. If one mill costs a million, price of required windmill capacity is 500 billions. With 30% efficiency price tag raises to $1.5 trillions. Thanks or due to the corrected conversion factor, prices are high, but no longer impossible. 

In electricity power grids internal resistance consumes the power. The maximal wire lengths are around 1 000 km : Plant must always be within 1 000 km radius from the consumers. Typically long distance plant is only few hundred kilometers from primary consumers.

There isn't a way,  private cars petrol consumption would be much bigger than in the table. It is way below politics, Martians and stat-makers announcements.

Stats, where USA and EU are the world biggest oil consumers are also certain be falsified. China and selected Asian countries are the biggest oil consumers. China and others refine oil into plastics and polyester fabrics, which are used in USA and EU. This consumption goes always to Asian accounts. Plastic and polyester manufacturing businesses outside Asia are very small.

Electric kW goes so, that when you consume one billed kWh, nominal power per second is 100 Watts. With one billed kWh, you get 3 600 seconds 0,1 kilo Watt power. When so with one billed kWh you get 360 kJ. Energy  which matches private cars 6 300 kJ energies, needs that you multiply  earlier 360 kJ with 17,5.  If one kWh costs you 10 cents, one fuel liter's energy in electricity costs you 1,75 euros.

Electric cars fuel efficiency is based to the same fact than diesel cars. Poor performance and low top speed keeps the fuel consumption and running costs low. In city traffic and traffic lights electric cars considerably higher weight increases the energy consumption. After stop, you must always spend energy for restoring cars kinetic energies. In west Europe there isn't a single bigger river. Rein is the west most bigger river in Europe.

There isn't a way, you could avoid the end of current free network usage and a meeting with Jack. You should adjust your activities and actions with this knowledge.

You haven't build new drawing objects yet ?
I have at least 4 000 scanned images on hard disks. There are scans from DVD-CD-BD covers, games, card decks, photos, photo albums, magazine-book pages and few miscellaneous scientific scan sets.  Have a self-made utility for scanning images. Have missed tool for cropping, rotating and straightening scanned images. Got stuck and didn't know how to continue with vector graphics.  Decided to re-activate old  Scan-Cropper project. Possibly finalize the scans during this summer.

Is it very valuable ?
You will be very disappointed, when you buy stolen sources from Finnish Government and others. All fully functional programs are made for only one, dedicated task. If you know how to change and modify my sources, you don't need or necessarily even want these stolen  sources. Currently building that Scan-Cropper over a program, I used for building ATS slide shows from cars. Have almost 2 000 adjusted pictures for the planned ATS car show. There are photos from almost all cars, which were manufactured in 2010.

On-line page systems for commoners lengthens processing time of events.
Quite a lot actually. Internet is slow and pages are optimized for slow, snail speed. With on-line systems politics, banks and others save their own time and money. They move the job from themselves to commoners. At national and GDP calculation levels, losses from on-line self service systems are enormous. Calculated once how much 10 minute longer average, daily trip to work costs to national economies. Five million nation could build over one billion cruise ship with the time it wastes to the slow speed tripping ... in one year.
