Baccarat in General

In Baccarat you play with 2 to 3 cards. The key factor, besides wining the game, is to get truncated sum of the cards as near 9 as possible.

The face cards have no value in the game. They are included, but in the game they are worth nothing. The values of the cards goes as follows Ace is always worth 1, cards from 2 - 9 are worth their number, 10, J, Q and K do not have any value in the game.

The score of a hand is the rightmost digit  of the sum of all cards. A hand consisting of 2 and 3 is worth 5 ( 2 + 3 = 5 ) but a hand consisting of 6 and 7 is worth 3 ( 6 + 7 = 13 -> 3).  A hand consisting of 4, 6 and 10 is worth zero, or Baccarat  The best possible score is 9. The word "Baccarat" is used in place of zero within the game, to refer to zero-valued cards and hands.

Baccarat is famous gambling game.

The luck varies an awful lot in a  game which played in real world, with real money.  Same goes with this web game too. At one hour you are a big winner, and your way down can take place within few played games.

Casino Baccarat, Punto Banco

The gambling baccarat variation is called Punto Banco. In gambling baccarat you play against the house. In Casino Baccarat you do not play. The game is more like Roulette, where you try to guess the result, and set bets on it. There are three possible results, Player, Tie and Banker.

The croupier will deal the cards according to the tableau and the croupier will announce the winning hand—either 'player' or 'banker'. Losing bets will be collected and the winning bets will be paid according to the rules of the house. Even money or 1–1 will be paid to the player and 95% to the 'Banker', 5% commission to the house (Commission Baccarat). It is said that the commission for the house does not affect very much to your chances of win. The fully automated draw system increases the number of the victories of the banker. In the long run, the bank has more victories than the player.

If  Banker and Player have same value at the end of the deal,  the croupier shall announce "Egalité—tie bets win." All tie bets will be paid at 8 to 1 odds and all bets on "Player" or "Banker" remain in place and active for the next game ( the player may or may not be able to retract these bets depending on casino rules ).

Table Characteristics

- This game follows the rules of the Casino / Punto Banco baccarat.
- You get 1 to 1 from the victory of Player.
- You get 1 to 1 from the victory of the Banker, minus 5 % commission from your winning, your wager is returned as whole.
- You get 8 to 1 from ties.

This Baccarat table is a choice of player who likes to get accurate stats from game. Another Gambling Baccarat table, where you are allowed to set wagers for all three option, always messes the relationship between the personal counter stat and personal money stat.

This variation has been tested and adjusted so, that when you start from the scratch, and play with defaults, you are, at some point you are 97% sure to explode the Bank. The small default wager gives you buffer against the big losses, which are very typical for the players and also to the houses.

This is the Test Version from the game. The loop option, which was used in reliability test and random error checking, is available in this table. When Loop option is enabled, limits for losses are disabled.

Drawing Rules in Casino Baccarat, Punto Banco

- If Player or Banker gets 8 or 9 in initial deal, the game ends immediately, and the results are checked.
- A cut-card is placed in front of the seventh-last card, and the drawing of the cut-card indicates the last coup of the shoe.

Player

If the Player has an initial total of 0-5, he draws a third card. If the Player has an initial total of 6 or 7, he stands.

Banker's rule:
If the Player stood pat (i.e. has only two cards), the Banker regards only his own hand and acts according to the same rule as the Player. That means the Banker draws a third card if he has 0–5 and stands if he has 6 or 7.
If the Player drew a third card, the Banker acts according to the following more complex rules:
If the Player drew a 2 or 3, the Banker draws if he has 0–4, and stands if he has 5–7.
If the Player drew a 4 or 5, the Banker draws if he has 0–5, and stands if he has 6–7.
If the Player drew a 6 or 7, the Banker draws if he has 0–6, and stands if he has 7.
If the Player drew an 8, the Banker draws if he has 0–2, and stands if he has 3–7.
If the Player drew an ace, 9, 10, or face-card, the Banker draws if he has 0–3, and stands if he has 4–7.

Playing the game

Playing the game is easy. The game is played with clicks to the deck. Before you can start a new game, you must set the wager, and select result you are betting with your wager. After you have set the bet, you click the deck, and wait. NP Croupier deals the cards on table, calculates scores, and eventually pays the winnings. After the game is over, you click the deck. The click clears the table from the results. After that you are free to set new wager and start a new game, with a new click to the deck.

You can do changes to the wager and other things during the game. The changes you make to the settings and other things, during the game, are taken to notice in the next game you play. They have no affect to the currently running game.

The cash reserves of the NP Casino are limited. So it is possible to explode the whole casino. A thing from very many gambler dream of.

The re-shuffling of the deck is fully automated. NP-Casino has brand new shuffling routine, very different from the picture and text randomizers on the site. Game randomizer is designed to give good enough shuffling to the cards.

The game follows the rules of the real Baccarat very precisely. The default settings are the most common settings for the Baccarats, which are played in Casinos.

The program gathers all kinds of stats from the games you play. There is also quite special stat which calculates the amounts of money it from all betting options. It calculates the number of victories and adjusts the numbers with the winning rates. The amounts are comparable, this stat shows how good or bad each betting option has been.

Most of the game comes from setting the bets. By default the program clears your previous wagers and result selections. There is a small checkbox "Preserve wager" in the bottom of the screen, with the box you can disable the wager and result clearing.

Due to the tight privacy policy, the games you have played are not saved to anywhere. They vanish after you leave or refresh the page. In principle NP Tech would be able to store the games to your browsing storage, there is also a "permanent" attribute in temporary browsing files. Unfortunately the web browsers and DHTML do not support this method.

When the game was designed, the stat was considered as an issue of interest. There aren't any existing formulas or stats about the usage of the drawing rules.

Rules in NP Baccarat var I

NP Baccarat follows the rules on traditional Baccarat, Chemin de Fer, as much as possible. In the NP Baccarat you switch the turns with NP Assisted Virtual Player. When NP-AVP opens it's turn as banker it the follows your previous wager as banker. The amount of initial wager varies from table to table. You can check the table based data from Table Characteristics.

The turn changes much like it does in Chemin de Fer, the turn chances after the banker has lost a sum which is equal to initial wager. The banker can also retire from his turn, and pass it to the player / punter. In NP Baccarat you do not bet on winner, you play for victory.

During the turn, the banker is not allowed to add money to the pot on the table. The outstanding wager act's as maximum wager for punter. The punter is not allowed to put more money to the game, than there is on the table.

- If Punter or Banker gets 8 or 9 in initial deal, the game ends immediately, and the results are checked, this one belongs to the nature of all Baccarat variations. NP Baccarat simulates the other Baccarat variations.
- A cut-card is placed in random position near the end of the deck.

- the cards are dealt face up.

Player - Has always a freedom to choose whether he takes do not take the third card.

NP-AVP acting as punter - Takes the third card if the initial deal is 0-4, the banker stands with 5-7.
NP-AVP acting as banker - Takes the third card if his hand is weaker than the players hand.

In order to increase the excitement, the game is played with one deck only. If you can memorize the key cards, you can make evaluations, when you choose whether to take 3rd card or not. NP-AVP never memories anything, it just plays.

In variation II the cards are dealt face down. The game ends when either banker or punter gets 8 or 9 from initial deal.

In this variation the cards are shown after drawings. The drawings are done without knowing opponent's hand. NP-AVP and the core of the game engine do not know the value of players hand before it is revealed. The players hand is checked after she says, that she got 8 or 9 from initial deal. On confirmed cheat, the player loses half of the bet to the NP-AVP.

The Traditional Flow

The other players are "punters". Six decks of cards are used, shuffled together. Players are seated in random order, typically around an oval table; discarded cards go to the center. Play begins to the right of the croupier and continues counterclockwise. At the start of the game, the croupier and then all players shuffle the cards in play order. The croupier shuffles a final time and the player to his left cuts the deck.

1. All players set bets. The player with the highest bet is the banker.

2. Other players have a possibility to shout "Banco" or "Go bank", it means, that the player plays against the bankers wager by his own.

3. If no-one shouts "Banco", other players gather a bet, which is equal to the banker's bet.

3. Two cards are dealt to each player.

4. The banker and players make decisions about taking the third card.

5. After the requested third cards are dealt, the results are calculated, and checked.
