Music Of The Sun is Rihanna's first album. The first single Pon De Replay was released few days before the album. The second single "If it's lovin' that you want" was released in the beginning of the December 2005.
Rihanna's first singles "Pon De Replay" and "If it's lovin that you want" succeeded well in the major markets. Pon De Replay reached the top three in almost all countries. If it's lovin' that you want reached Top-20.
Music Of The Sun album, itself was not the best selling and most popular album of the year. Music Of The Sun is Rihanna's least popular album. Not talking about total failure here. The album sold few hundred thousand copies, but in Rihanna's production Music Of the Sun is the least popular album.
Rihanna's popularity rose to the top selling levels after the third album, Good Girl Gone Bad.
