Your Highness - More

Your Highness is an action comedy. It takes place between 11th and 15th century. The fun in the movie is made with traditional means. Characters are exaggerated, much like in cartoons. Fabious for example is a bit too heroic, childish and naive for a real action hero, and so on.

The story of Your Highness is common periodic action / adventure story. It has resemblances with the movies of the 70's and 80's. The story is based on the traditional "Princess and Prince" fairytale formula.

Two Moons

Spell-time is coming. The eclipse is very near.

The Medieval Earth have two moons. Every 100th year these moons meet. The eclipse raises the dark forces : When a wizard makes love with a virgin, the intercourse will result to a birth of a very powerful dragon. When the moment comes closer evil forces try to take advantage from the magic of the moment. 

The Golden Order of Knights in action.

Besides the evil wizards and lizards, the eclipse awakens also the The Golden Order of Knights. The great guardians of good have silver arrows and other weapons with what they fight against the evil forces.

A Mission with Highland Dwarfs

Prince Thadeous of Mourne is a loser, who prefers wine and women from the quests and heroic deeds. His father, King Tallious sends Thaddeous to North. His quest is to make an importnant treaty with Highland Dwarf tribe. Unfortunately the Dwarf King has a beautiful young wife. Thadeous cannot resist, he jumps into bed with her, gets caught from the action, and he is sentenced to death.

Thadeous on Stage

Thadeous blames Dwarfs and Dwarf Queen for being traitors and liars. Dwarfs have the power, Thadeous' wards are ignonered and Thadeous is escorted to the stage. Thadeous manages to escape with his servant, Courtney. Runaways get into various troubles during the escape ( you can see and hear the journey during opening texts )

After getting back to the kings castle, Thadeous hears that his elder brother Fabious  is also on his way home. Prince Fabious is the first born of the Kingdom of Mourne. Unlike the lazy Thadous, Fabious is a brave knight. 

Thadeous envies Fabious. From his brave character, popularity, and most of all, from the thing, that some day he will be the King of Mourne. Fabious on the other hand likes and loves his younger brother Thadeous. He wants him to be friends with him and boys' father, King Tallious. 

Fabious, his servant Julie, and his team, Elite Knights, have been fighting against evil warlock Leezar. Leezar's magical monsters are harassing, hindering and slaughtering citizens of Mourne.

Royal Wedding

Whilst fighting "believed to be the last" fight, Fabious meets a beautiful, innocent Belladonna. Belladonna is a captive of the evil warlock Leezar. Leezar captured Belladonna when she was very young. Belladonna has lived in Leezar's tower ever since she was a little girl. 

Fabious is making a public love confession to Belladonna. 
And following the original screenplay :
It is not important how you say it, the most important thing is that you say it.
 Belladonna is very flattered by a bit clumsy performance.

Fabious falls in love with Belladonna and her purity. Fabious takes her with him to the Kingdom of Mourne. Fabious's father blesses the marriage between two lovers, and soon the whole kingdom gathers to a royal wedding. Fabious wants Thadeous to be his best man. Thadeous agrees.  Right before the wedding Thdeous gets upset, when he accidentally hears nasty talks about himself and his character. So. He decides to pass the wedding, and his job as a best man.

Whilst sad and insulted Thadous is intoxicating himself at the river bank, the wedding ends into a visit of uninvited quests. Leezar and his three mothers come to wedding. They capture Belladonna from Fabious, and takes her back to Leezar's tower. Leezar believes, that Belladonna is the virgin, who can give birth to a most evil and powerful dragon ever. 

* * The Quest Begins * *

Wise Wizard is spelling the magical compass ( golden item on the left ) to the boys. 

So. After the wedding and the loss of Belladonna. Fabious is forced to start a new quest. He has to save his newly wedded wife, and get her back. Thadeous is not interested in taking part to the quest. But the King talks Thadeous over, and eventually he joins the quest. The quest is, of course, to save Belladonna and kill Leezar for good. Although Thadeous is not victorious fighter and knight, he does know quite a lot about the life.

Virginity is not an easy issue for the men of the movie.
Sometimes they had, and sometimes they didn't. Who knows.

The quest starts with a visit to wise wizard. According to the wise wizard, there is a big problem with Leezar. Leezar cannot be killed with a mortal blade. The only thing with what  Leezar can be killed, is a very special sword, the Blade of Unicorn. Before attacking Leezar, adventurers must search and find the concealed weapon. The Blade of Unicorn is hidden into a Secret Labyrinth.

The boys have a point in their quest. This is not the way you treat a lady. 

The wise wizard gives the adventurers a Magical Compass. The Compass is the only thing on Earth, with what the Secret Labyrinth can be located. After finding the Maze, you still have a thing to do. You must find the hidden Blade of Unicorn from the Maze. The Compass says that boys must hurry. The time is short, only five days to go. The Secret Labyrinth is north from the Kingdom of Mourne, and quite far away from the Tower of Leezar.

Two men in the middle are the lesser Elite Knights.  Manious is the knight with curly hair, Thundarian is the black knight. The picture is taken after the departure. Asian Samurais, the Indian and few others are missing from the team.

Quite soon after  leaving the lizard's excuse me wizard's lounge, Fabious, Thadeous and Courtney gets departed from the Elite Knights and Julie ( Fabious's servant ). Whilst wandering in the White People's forest, a beautiful warrior woman, Isabel, joins the team. Isabel is the last living member of the Harshbarger Order. White Forest People and their leader Marteetee killed her father when she was young.  Three mothers of Leezar the Warlock killed her 6 brothers. Isabel's quest is to avenge both killings.

From the White Forest the adventurers head to the legendary town of knights and adventurers, Muldiss Darton. During the long, peaceful trip Isabel and Thadeous get closer to each other, and only God knows where it will end. The Legendary Muldiss Darton is near the Secret Labyrinth. After reaching the town, the desperate search of the Labyrinth and the Blade of Unicorn can begin.

Isabel and boys are leaving White People's camp. Isabel is taking the last look to Marteetee.

Historical and scientific considerations

There was an age of witches in Europe. The age of witches ended to Christianity and massive witch hunts. Before the Jews and Christians Central and Northern Europe was full of all kinds of spells and spell makers. Christians and Christian Knights fought against old religions and habits for centuries. Last European witches were slaughtered during the 17th century. There aren't very much information about the things real-life witches did and were capable of doing. Besides spell casting, they worked in medics and psychics. They healed and advised people.

The lightning-like magical power flows and powers have been in consideration few times. They are not electric or sound waves. They could be a combination of electro magnetic and sound waves.  The sound waves would need a very special tube or laser beam like form.  

The electro magnetic wave would "tickle" the targets and create the light effects.  The sound wave tube would throw targets from one place to another. Sound waves can move things. If you for example play music loud enough, things starts to jump and move on shelves and tables. With a high frequency voice, it is possible to break glass.

X-Rated considerations

Chastity belts were invented by French Cape Crusaders. They did not trust their wives to be faithful for them, whilst they were fighting from the Holy Land in Israel.

Drugs do not belong to the Medieval European times. Asians and Indians knew and used drugs, the drugs and smoking came to Europe after medieval times. European nature does not have wild intoxicating plants. Medieval Europeans intoxicated themselves with excessive use of beer and wine. There is one native, quite rare European plant. It's leaves can be used in cigarettes and smoking in general. Smoking came to Western Lifestyle at end of 19th century, Europeans learnt the habit from Indians.

* The movie has it's roots in the 70's. Topless and braless were the words of the 70's. Topless swimsuits and transparent blouses ( worn without bra, nipples could be seen through the thin transparent fabric ), were very common by that time. Women wore topless swimsuits in almost everywhere, revealing transparent blouses were seen in restaurants and night clubs. Half naked / naked women were seen in almost all movies.

The story is "multi layered". You can watch the movie more than once, much like you would listen an audio record. After you get everything out from the layer of your best interest, another layer pops out from the flick.
