Boys Of Putworks |
Boys left for the spring and summer break. They are not for talks. Before they left, we recorded two re-mix songs from the Ghost Covers album for you and this page. We have been gathering and writing down small things from the production and production time, for the album covers. From the below can you read the comments from these two songs. You can play all Boys' albums from this page. You can change the album / playlist from big cover screen index, with blue album names. Michelle [ Tornado Mix ] Michelle [ my belle ] is one of the Lennon-McCartney classics. Big Band arrangement belongs to the best Sunday and Big Band songs ever. We made the song from that Big Band arrangement. Making the song from that was easy. Made it very quickly, do not have any production time notes from the original Holy Ghosts mix. The Holy Ghosts mix was made and practiced for recording in the summer 2012. In the 20th may 2013, a huge and disastrous tornado hit Oklahoma city in United States. The tornado demolished two elementary schools. At the end of the school day. Over half from the casualties and injured people were young children under 10 years old. Took Michelle to the workshop after the tornado. Tried to get something painful, distorting and soothing to the play. Times are not very good at the moment, either. Made changes to the original melody-play. Added two "tornados" to the song. They are in the second and third repetions from the straight power play. Tried to get some color to the song by changing melody by swapping few notes from one tornado-power play take off. The closing guitar play got also few totally new noting sequences. Jack, who wrote the notes for the play, said that embedding new look-a-likes to the well known and well written song, is not the easiest job in the world. + + We'll meet again + + In the next song Arnold Terminator promises "I'll be back", excuse me, wrong media . . . sorry . . . I'm so embarrassed . . . live broadcast and so on . . . me getting confused . . . khrmm . . . let's try it again. Yes So here it comes. "We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when" is the chorus for the song, We'll meet again. An old ball room classic. Originally played by a British singer Vera Lynn in the year 1939. Very popular during the second world war, amongst allied forces. At the same time Germans dreamed about Lili Marleen ( Marlene Dietcrich ). The rhythmic ticks in the background are made with two wooden blocks or sticks. Popular instrument in the old days, and in the big orchestras, which had many players. One wood hitter in the percussive team belong to almost all old orchestras. Not much to say about this song. Good melody and good arrangement, didn't have much troubles with our own version. Played the song with Ghost drums, Ghost Box and Ghost organ. Standard Ghost Trio for us . . . with Holy Ghosts. + + Brothers In arms + + Brothers in arms is a Dire Straits hit single from 80's. Very popular song. This is our second version from the song. Almost the same than the old Space Waves mix. Changed Pad to Ghosts and replaced traditional drums with ghost drums and drumming. + + I Wanna Hold Your Hand + + "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" was originally played by Beatles in the 60's. One of their big hits and hit singles. This is our second cover from the song. This time we followed the original song, arrangement and tempo. Played the melody with typical Brightness-Ghosts combination. Our listeners criticized us quite a lot from the first version. We made the first version hastily for the Music Box I. So we decided to make a proper cover version from the song. The " Space- Waves" Pulsing Pad with what we played the first version, is a bit difficult instrument in cover songs.
