This Corona virus creates 100 to 200 empty temporary files into current Temp directory. After it has created little over 36 000 files, Ms Internet Explorer and all other common programs, which uses this API refuses to work. Before hack reaches full non-functionality, it slows down affected programs. After removing the files, affected programs work, until hack refills Temp directory. When I checked, there wasn't older temp file-sets in hacked computers Temp directories. Windows have many temp directories, this hack adds files to user's primary temp directory.

Super fast crashes

Have had some doubts about stability of over 2.9 GHz CPUs. Have nowadays two 2.9 GHz stable duo cores.

On left there is fast and short loop, where Super fast fails to perform calculation on the right. After running loop for a while, SuperFast start to give zero results for multiplications. When you fix and alter this multiplication from the loop, zero result system moves to somewhere else. Even simple memory block movement from one location to another can fail.

It is difficult to tease Super Fast to over 3 GHz speeds. 

Biggest beneficiaries of 1970 - 1985 oil crisis were American oil companies.  Up till 1990s American oil companies were the biggest oil producers in the world.
Oil crisis tripled their revenues, profit margins were over 10 times bigger than before. Setting blames to Arabs hide the enormous financial benefit American oil companies got from the crisis.

Video game consoles were rather rare, primarily sold to adults. Consoles and their games were very simple and primitive, when compared to modern 3D games. Last DOS games from early 1990s were the first to have proper 3D worlds. They lived quite long, first Windows operating systems were too slow for running games and complicated graphical applications.

Multimedia computer took or stole 3D chips from bars and cafeterias.  First commercial 3D chips were included in public game automates. In early 1990s these automates superseded flippers, they died soon after computer with 3D chip became a standard for western home. In mid 1990s had a coffee break in one night cafeteria. There there was one wall with full of game automates. Watched the automates and started to wonder how they produce good quality graphics to the games. Knew, that such quality is a mission impossible for PC of the time. 

Learnt later, that secret was in 3D chip. Price formed a small problem. First 3D chips and graphic cards cost over twice as much as CPU and motherboard. Nowadays mass production has dropped prices. So much, that all computers and a-likes have 3D chips.

Is that crashing super fast source a virus ?
It is devious 64bit ... Multi-core, CPU, RAM or OS oriented bug. Never seen such. Up to 32 bit registers, simple integer calculations never fails. Devious fault, after fault takes place it can affect to all remaining calculations, without notice from serious error. One simple batch upgrade to big banking, billing or census database can trash the whole base.

Luckily this is major issue only to older minors like me. Quite sure Halloween Hackers and other real life IT experts handles problems like this blindfolded. Always playing very bold and clever ... people of greater knowledge and skills ... in here with me.

This fault was reported here, before you slashed multi-core upgrade to binary CPU.
Fault takes place in tailored HDD surface scanner and disk content verifier. During content verifications Super Fast's first core runs at maximum speed with 100% CPU load. 2nd, 3rd and 4th core peaks randomly to 50% CPU load and maximum speed. Program was supposed to be as fast as possible.

It was not complete waste of time ?
No. Scanner will be slower and poorer. Quite a lot lengthier to write than expected. It's a replacement for old trash disk checker. New version can check file content against files, which are not currently available for system. Then it can verify file against the way it was, when it was copied or ripped to disk. By doing so, it checks files also for viruses. Zero result problem belongs to system, which makes these brand new features possible.

Plan to build fast multi-volume defragmenter tool ?
Don't know. Don't know, if I have required FAT / NTFS / EXT  allocation chain readers and record definitions. Not very interested in writing them on my own. Recent hacks and disk faults interrupted and disturbed my movie player project.

At the best, with big files, scanner reads and processes 45 MB data in one second.
One version from the program reached around 3.5 GHz speed. With this speed Super Fast always crashed after 15 to 20 minute run.

Yesterdays File and disk checker works faster with SDD disks.
That program crashes very easily. It uses around 50% from execution time disk reads and another 50% to to calculations. Don't know how long program runs with SDD disks. It still crashes often after 30 to 60 minutes. Some times program results into inaccessible HDD. Program always begins in good order, then it gets messed by the time. Super Fast with XP3 started with 49 MB/s processing speed. After few hours processing speed fell mysteriously to 5 MB/s.

Haven't tested the program with good, old and reliable single core workhorses. Hardly ever use modern miracles for running important / critical / essential long batch jobs. From the miracles Optiplex 360 with 2.93 fixed speed duo core and XP3 was the fastest. Results were fault free. Super Fast with Finnish Windows 7 is another one, which manages to run 10 hour batch jobs without faults.

But it is fast.
Yes. After yesterdays introduction rewrote the core, managed to get speed to CPU checkers 104-106% and 3.4 GHz speed. Before major failure, it managed to read and process over 100  small files per second. With an average of 50 small files per second. In randomly sized material CPU speed changes and big and fast. When you process big file, disk speeds are 160 MB/s and CPU speed 2.0 GHz. In small files everything turns upside down, CPU speed raises to 3.4 GHz, disk speed falls to less than 1 MB/s.

Almost all new 64-bit programs suffers from random zero results in integer operations.
If program seems to work abnormally fast,  the reason is obviously in some unexpected zero result.

Our body works with HF engine.

In the screen shot you can see the first test drive for combined HDD scanner and file content checker. Made the test with around 750 000 files.
In the first two columns there is file content data. Data for content verification and comparison is packed to 10 numbers and 32 bit unsigned integer.
- one to three byte files are stored to list with the data. Data replaces the verification id number.
- When verification fails from one reason or another, reason for error replaces the id.

As you can see from the shot, 32 bit integer is not big enough for unique ids. Unique content needs that you check also the file size.
This test list doesn't have files with matching size and id, whose content is not a match.

Calculation of the ids for 750 000 files on around 800 GB storage takes 10 to 12 hours. 

When you recalculate ids and match them to stored ids, you can find files, which has been hacked. Or which has changed on their own.

Original algorithm used 64 bit signed integers. These would have provided unique content ids  to each file. After three days fight with random zero results, had to downgrade ids to 32 bit integer. Each and every duo and multicore computer has stopped during long runs. 

Like said earlier, never before seen Super Fast working with the announced 3.2 / 3.6 GHz speed for longer times. Detected faults looks more like HDD controller and micro code based faults than speed oriented faults. Slow 64bit duo core Thinkpad Laptop crashes easier than faster Super Fast and Optiplex 360. 

The actual program uses Windows messages for thread-mainline interactions, without a problem. Simple and safe system. All you have to do is to define user massages and write callback message handler to mainline program.

Program takes advantage from the installed and available RAM. Buffer creation for file iteration fails quite often. Windows 3.1 had a command, with what you can compact free memory into one continuous block. When you try reserve over 1 GB memory blocks in latter Windows, and system has 2 GB free memory, allocation function can fail, because there aren't any 1GB contiguous blocks available.

After re-construction of buffer / memory handler system program has ... so far ... worked without crashes. Also in Thinkpad laptops.

This screenshot is from new mobile web feeder. It is ThinkPad T61 with 1.8 Ghz Duo Core processor and English 32 bit Windows 8 Pro. Checker acts in the same way in both fixed and flexible speed computer. Buffering system prevents flexible CPU to downgrade it's speed. After program has filled buffer, it provides CPU 100% input data flow. Continuous 100% input flow prevents CPU from downgrading the speed to idle rpm. Continuous flow disables speed controller.

1.8 GHz CPU runs with almost 2 GHz speed. Computer is scanning USB disk via USB 2 connector. From the memory bar you can see, how program has taken around 50% from the memory into it's usage. Computer has 3GB RAM.

In settings tab, you can set screen update interval for info screen. Default is 1 second or more. Program never updates screen during FileId calculation. When calculation for big file takes more than one second, screen update takes place after FileId calculation is finished.

File Id is not a checksum.
It is result from multiplications. Function uses word array and word values for creating the id. FileId's base value is always 1. Then you iterate through word array. You multiply the FileId with consequent word values. When FileId exceeds maximum for unsigned 32 bit integer, you clamp FileId value down to 32 bit range.  You cannot multiply FileId with zero valued words. Function has counter for ids. Every time function detects zero value, it multiplies FileId with current null counter value. Then it adds 1 to null counter. When counter overflows, function resets null counter value to 1.

In multiplication system, one bit change in file content always changes final FileId value. Difficult to construct embedded virus, which would remain hidden for FileId system. You cannot change file size, and must end up into matching FileId with altered content. Matching id needs, that you remove part from instructions for the hosting executable. Halloween hackers must work hard for getting their hostile file upgrades invisible. It is possible to add few random bytes to exe file, for making FileId unique to used copy from the executable.

Clamping down to 32 bit integer reduces the range of possible FileIds. As you can see from first screenshot, 4.2 billion possible ids is not enough for getting unique ids for each file.

Early 1990s anti virus programs for DOS worked with the same principle.
Not in my knowledge how they created checksums.

Algorithm has lots of potential in dataBase world. And in big databases ... besides your movie and trash disk projects.

FileId file for 1 million files, needs around 100 MB storage space. You can for example burn FileId files to CD rom. With FileId CD-Rom it is possible to check, which of altered files is a match to original. If you have back ups on HDD, you never know which one is a match to original file content.

Some people - like Finns and their Friends - are doing things, from which you say, that "Never before has a person been mad enough for doing this."

There hasn't been major problems, after re-construction of memory handlers. Slowly returning to movie project. Making some improvements and helper function for the scanner. Couldn't finish new mobile web-feeder installation, before I made the scanner for getting better grip over messy back-up and installation disks.

How long you spent with that billion dollar baby ?
One week or so. Program is still under construction. Possible that it is left like it is. During testing, already scanned and calculated File Ids for all hard disks, I have in here.

Not necessarily. Idea from multiplied and divided checksums is new. In at least back ups and common usage. CRC numbers has nothing to do with contents. Their calculation takes less than one second. Virus scanners search usually known code segments from executables. You cannot install viruses to common files. With an exception of autorun macros and autorun VBA applications. Typical macro and VBA function is launched manually. Some programs allows you to set start up macro or application. In MS Access you build a database, which open always into some form. Lotus 1-2-3 allows you to launch self made basic functions from cell content. Both examples allows you to freely manipulate disc contents. MS Access macro is extended match to common Visual Basic executable. Lotus misses a change to use Windows API commands and their wrappers.

Not so long ago, noticed that new hard disks are like c-cassettes, they fade by the time on their own.  Fast disks and small physical bit sizes have brought some insecurities to HDD tech. 

You can for example embed content-surface verification system into high quality, expensive hard disks. Verification system is essential in back up tech, programs and apparatuses. Big companies have very expensive back up  systems, which run on their own during night time and weekends. They for example call you, when back up system fails.

Hard disk is nothing more but storage space for files and file systems. How do you add FileIds into it ?
You can build fast electric File id system. Then your HDD driver provides HDD api functions for using FileId system. In API you can have functions for calculating, retrieving, modifying and comparing FileId data. Driver can already support Fat, Ext and other files systems.

Besides clamping, you can build FileId also so, that you multiply words until Id reaches maximum. After that you divide ID until you reach minimum. When you use 64 bit signed integer as result field for 32 bit value, you can temporarily go under and over limits and final range. When calculation ends, you check and shift the result into 32-bit range.

Network disks failed to provide enough feed for Super-Fast. Average top speed was around 3.0 GHz. 1 GBit network's actual top speed is less than 30 MB/s or 200 MBit /s. It is not enough for disabling speed controller. Speed raises to 3.4 GHz only with big files. Scanner loads small local files so quickly, that speed controller doesn't activate. With NAS boxes Super-Fast is considerably slower than  2.8 and 2.9GHz fixed speed duo cores.

Gigabit network falls behind 30MB/s speed, which is requirement for good, 4k quality video footage.
USB-3 is also a tight match to 30 MB/s speed. All new hard disks can easily meet 4k demands. Earlier over 100 MB/s disk speeds are from external disks, which were connected to computer with eAta connectors.

You are not against Blue Ray, 2k and 4k video ? 
Blue Ray was spoiled by greedy control freaks and business geniuses, who had nothing to do with actual product. Blue Ray drives and players doesn't last long.

Happy with new FileId system.
Don't know yet. Haven't built utilities for taking advantage from the ids yet. When you have new bad clusters on disk, scanner marks affected files with I/O error.  Made few years ago function for extracting unreadable files DVD. Function reads as much from the broken file as possible. Then it fills unreadable parts with zeros. In playback, these zero parts causes few second long distorted picture and sound. 

Utilities have more potential than old scanner. Old scanner was file based. Quite often it made or tried to make damage directory system. FileId can be calculated for single directory or directory system. They are calculated with file ids and sizes. DirId system allows you to easily find matching directories and directory-sub directory systems.

Think, that the correct calculation has been here before. When you have 37 balls and you use 7 balls per lottery, first line has numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6 + 7-37.  Second line set has numbers 1,3,4,5,6,7 + 8-37. Each line set reduces possible results with one. With samples 7/37 system your chances to win are 1 / 10 million. In other words few million jackpot costs you 10 millions. Your chances to die in car accident, are still quite a lot better. Possible that there will few downloadable light weight versions from games,  I started to build for Boys warehouse comeback.  Got them into my hands, when I tried to get some speed into Delphi's compiler. One compilation can take 5 to 10 minutes. Usually compilations go in less than 5 seconds. First thought, that I have to re-install programming computer from scratch. It has two operating systems, they both uses same copy from Delphi. Thought that slowness comes from this. Installed another programming interface to another Surperfast. Compilations were just as slow as they were in older programming computer. So the problem should be in Delphi, self made components and utilities. 

Engaged solitaire ?
It is one of the most made games. If I finish games into lightweight download levels, quite sure that Engagement solitaire will be one.

I have been watching movies. Building programs for maintaining movie data. Progressing slowly. Maintenance forms are built with new free form MDI interface. Third time, I'm building a program with it. Program has tabs, tabs contents can be anything. Same main form can host multiple Web-browsers, text editors and file grids. Then you can have multiple main forms open at the same time. Cool to use, but difficult puzzle and write.

When I searched spell checker utilities, found many versions for and from Tetris. Spent yesterday playing and developing one component to actual game and program.

Tetris is probably the most played computer game of 1990s. One game lasts 5 to 10 minutes. Game drops 7 kind of sprites into box. Your job is to rotate and place sprites so, that they form lines to box's bottom. After you get full horizontal line to bottom, it is removed from the screen. Properly made Tetris increases sprites drop speed all the time. Game always ends into your "loss". Game ends, after there is no more space for dropping new sprites.
It is much like hammering games for 2 to 3 year old kids.
MS Windows Solitaire, which came  with Win 3.x, was another widely played game of 1990s.

Still playing with Tetris ?
Unfortunately I am still doing so. First thought, that there is a fault in Tetris component, I used for playing simple demo game. Then I started to blame Delphi's random function from weird and unnatural Sprite generation. Eventually discovered, that either Super Fast or newer Windows operating systems have bug in both Current time and TickCount variables. In at least Super fast both variables misses occasionally milliseconds. In Random function this bug results occasionally 10 to 20 consequent Random number generations with matching result.  Had to construct brand new Randomizer function for Super Fast and Windows XXX. Still under construction.

In Finnish Windows 7 Pro, Microsoft's Mahjong Titans seems to have similar kind of problems with random board creation. Not in my knowledge, if fixed parts are programmed into game.

In the bottom left you see new randomizer's number distribution for one played 10 minute Tetris game. Original solution for poor Randomizer is on the right. Right bar shows incoming sprites, so that you can think how to position Sprites, which come in big blocks.

With previous randomizer managed - at the best - spend 30 minutes with the game, remove almost 200 lines. This version has adjustable timer system. By default, removal of line slows down the timer. New sprite increases the speed. Then it has special bottom line bonus. If you manage to clear the screen so, that after line removal, there are reserved blocks only at the lowest line, game resets timer back to one second interval.

After you lose Sprite removal rhythm, game ends usually very quickly. With one second interval it takes 20 seconds before sprite  hits the bottom. When screen is almost full, you have less than 5 seconds to position falling sprite.

In solitaires poor randomizer doesn't bother much. In card games you shuffle the deck. Random order is not fully dependent on randomizer, like in for example this Tetris game. Poor randomizer is very difficult in money related games and apparatuses.

Can Can is is very unique, well known and popular dance.

Programming is very slow. Most of the time went into creation of proper user interface and programmatic finalization for web distribution. Program misses enhanced graphics and sound effects. Current graphics have things, which are needed for playing the game smoothly.

Tetris shape records and screen buffer creation functions are almost like they were. Preview system is made so, that it uses the same screen buffer function than actual game. Got to add Start and Stop system to it. Addition needed changes to all game flow functions. Form and user interface are naturally brand new.

You cannot play the game with taps and double-taps.
All my touch screen projects have been demolished. Without hesitation. Just like almost everything else. Game would need on screen mouse-click controlled arrow button block for tapping and touch screens. Touch screen misses right button and wheel. Tetris like game needs on-screen keyboard simulator.

No ideas. I don't track visitors and downloads. Neither do I collect data ... play counts ... from computers, which have Tetris installed in them. With old visitor estimations, over 100 million real-life downloads should be possible. Game is exact match to popular Tetris games for DOS. Few enhancements makes game easier and less frustrating to play.  Think that ATS Tetris has potential to become popular and often played game.

Hastily made stats gives better rank to longer time.
In Tetris you play as long as you can. Longer you play, faster the game drops Sprites to screen. Longer play time refers to bigger amount of dropped Sprites. Listview component for Stats misses enhanced functions. Sort by column and change column order. Solitaires will get similar kind of statistics. Planned to add enhanced functions to inal, shared stat screen. Probably add sprite counts to stats in the same Tetris upgrade.

Easy to be. ATS-Arno Tetris is the only freely and widely available version from a game, which used to be very popular. Most games and computer game concepts are from 1980s. From the flip side, Leisure suit Larry is the only concept, which has lost it's popularity. Might be capable of getting it back life by converting it into a video game. Control needs form, user interface, statistics and small improvement to game graphics. The required improvements need less one working day. Control is obviously made from Gomoku's DOS version. No. In late 1990s made 4k city map for Monopoly. Never finished the game. Dice game was supposed to give you a chance to travel rather freely in city with multiple streets. Every now and then, when I see that map, start to think, what to do with it. Map is based on Larry like Police quest street map. In police quest you patrol small city on 2D street map. During the game you chase traffic-rule violators, speedsters, suspected DUI cases, calm down fights in street side bars, and so on. Around 15 years ago map got a car, you can steer with arrow keys. Now, when I saw the map, had an idea of police quest like game, where you act as cab, van and truck driver. Do some small tasks in the city, earn some money with tasks you do. Should make new Windows version from Yatzhee DOS game. It doesn't work well in Windows 2000.  In Windows XXX you can play only native Windows XXX games and 32-bit games, which doesn't use DirectX and full screen mode. Yatzhee belongs to my favorite games. Games I have played the most.

Before my economical releases, it was for example widely believed, that stock markets don't have connection to economies. Stock market investments were roulette like gambling games. Trade school is the only school, which trains you into a known profession. Others prepare you to a set of professions, from which you can find your career. Final job and career comes with your first long term job.  

Your first job doesn't necessarily have connections to your education. I am for example engineer of automotives, who made his career in book keeping and financial applications. CAD designing was the only computer related thing, I knew after graduation. Knew nothing about bookkeeping, billing and payroll systems. Both practices and programs were completely unknown to me. System is needed in all powerful motorized systems, for getting the whole power production range into efficient usage. Electric car doesn't make big additions to gearless speed range. Electric car needs also a gearbox system. Electric motor has combustion engine like idle rpm. Number of required gears is smaller than with combustion engine. Electric motor tech is at the same levels, combustion tech was over 100 years ago.

Is that widely copied picture resize system on this site very difficult ?
It is much like great inventions and scientific breakthroughs. Simple and easy after you see it resolved. Impossible to resolve for most. Resize system, where you keep aspect ratio, has two unknown parameter values. You got to calculate screen ratio and picture ratio. Handling of two unknown-calculated parameters in one equation makes If clause mandatory. With If clause you fit scaled picture size into screen rectangle. With If you check, if the calculated size is the one, which fits, the picture into screen rectangle. If the calculation was incorrect, and picture overlaps, you must recalculate the size. Using another, logical smaller side as fully fitted size.

Logical smaller side can be physically much more longer than logical longer side. Logical sizes are dependent on screen rectangle's size.

Wrote and resolved problematic in 1990s. Don't remember, what kind of project ... challenge ... creation of this simple system was.

It is possible to to build hard disk iteration without recursive procedure calls.
Have written such fully functional system once. It needs complicated array system for holding upper level directory data. Much more easier to let CPU to handle nestled system. In recursive system CPU creates memory copy from caller's parameter and variables. CPU does that all the time with common procedure and function calls. Copy system slows down the program quite a lot. In HDD iteration CPU time is not an issue. Reading FAT entries need so much time.

Due to time losses, computer games and other time critical programs would need compiler option for copying called, small functions into calling procedure. You could set the copy option in source code, with compiler directive. In picture's pixel processing copied function, in primary executor, can result into over 10 times shorter execution time. In bigger picture short one or two millisecond delay grows easily into over million millisecond cap in execution time.

You will make new Yatzhee with media player's concept.
Don't know if I am allowed or willing to make it. But if I do, could make it with Media Players three thread system. So that one thread empowers game, second screen and third sound effects. Old DOS version donated few things to current 3D system. SuperFast is not very likely to assign dedicated cores to each thread. Dedicated cores would speed up the game. In Media Player threading, game thread is always one frame ahead of screen and sound threads. After game thread finishes the frame, it outputs the results into screen and sound threads.  In media player concept, you could use GPU and DSP commands in 2nd and 3rd threads. Lack of these, would be the only difference to native and forsaken media player game.
