Sword and Sorcery

Your Highness is a medieval action comedy about the adventures of two princes, and a female warrior.

The movie tells a classic "fairy tale-like" story about two princes, who have a princess and a kingdom to save. If the princes cannot find and rescue the princess in time, their kingdom will be destroyed.

The elder prince Fabious  is heroic knight, and the younger brother Thadeous is just a lazy booze lover.

Fabious's betrothed, Belladonna, gets kidnapped by the evil wizard Leezar. The king gives Thadeous an ultimatum: If he does not help Faboius to find Belladonna, Thadeous will be banished from the kingdom.

So. By king's command. Thadeous joins Faboius and the search begins. Right in the beginning of the quest, the brothers are forced to face a very unpleasant surprise. Leezar cannot be challenged with a mortal blade. In order to match Leezar, a very special Blade of Unicorn is needed. The Blade of Unicorn is hidden into a labyrinth near the legendary town of Muldiss Darton. North from the Kingdom of Mourne.

During the journey brothers get familiar with an elusive warrior, Isabel. Isabel has a dangerous agenda of her own. Whilst searching, the team must meet and beat horrific creatures and traitorous knights.

The story is told to you by the means of action/adventure-comedy. 

The movie was made with mid-sized budget. Money is used wisely and cautiously. Your Highness is a quality movie. Your Highness has lots of  good looking visualizations, excellent soundtrack,  and other attractions in it. The quality of digital effects in the movie belong to the best of it's time. They are better than they are in huge budget movies, like Thor. ( Made at the same time )

Most of the jokes and funny things in the movie are sexual and / or brutal ( dark humor ). It is the way the movie is made. A person with a high moral is not necessarily amused by the flick.

Besides action, astonishing visualizations and dirty jokes, the movie has also a very traditional prince-princess tale, and lots of relationship stuff. The relationship stuff concentrates on realistic love-hate relationship between siblings / two brothers.

When rather big production budget and wide distribution is taken to notice, Your Highness did not succeeded as expected. Due to the poor performance the movie was checked and benchmarked afterwards.

In the thorough examination, technical and abstract errors were not found from the story and it's visualization. There is nothing wrong with actors and actresses performances either. Characters in the comedy are what they are. The genre has it's own fans and audiences.

The most satisfied audiences were estimated to be the people who were young in the late 60's,  70's and early 80's.  The people who are for the adventure video games, were also estimated to be happy with the contents, only the game, from which the movie was made is missing.

Your Highness was Natalie Portman-Millepied's first opening after getting the Oscar Award.

The official genre classification of Your Highness movie is not  a Stoner comedy . . .  for drug addicts and a-likes. Neither is Your Highness a crazy comedy, which would make laughs with unrealistic exaggerations and action movie clichés.
