Return Halloween Recession 2015-2017
23rd November 2019
Shorts

This page introduces a new realistic way to define recession. And also a group, called three little pigs.
Media sexists loves to forget, that you must reach the levels before recession, until it is actually over.

Spent a weekend with a small research from 2nd biggest recession in history.
- Took the last good year - year 2014 - as base for calculating the costs.
- Then I calculated the difference to the year 2014 from the years 2015, 2016 and 2017.
- The calculated difference is the yearly cost or gain during the recession.
- Finally summed cost of years 2015, 2016 and 2017 together.
- Calculated also relative values of the recession to each year and country.

The biggest loser of all was Russia. Russia lost almost $2 trillions to the recession.  Second was Brazil with $1.7 trillion cost.
After these we come to those, who are allied with Finns and Swedes. Germany, France, Italy and United Kingdom lost around $1 trillion to the great manmade recession.
In the third - $500 billion group - there are Canada and Australia. And also next oil producer, Mexico.
In the fourth - $300 billion group - there are Spain, Japan and Netherlands. These are accompanied with three oil producers : Nigeria, Norway and Saudi Arabia.

USA talks about $3.8  trillion gains from the recession. China comes next with $3 trillion gains. After India's bold $800 billion gains, wins fall.
In between India and Ireland there is Argentina with $208 billion gains.

Biggest relative losers were Equatorial Guinea and Congo from Africa. They were accompanied with Azerbaijan and Belarus, both companions are IVY countries.
All IVY countries, including midgets and sport-mans Ukraine, fell very deeply with Russia. Israel and poorer Arabian countries, which doesn't have oil, survived without problems.

Ireland is 7th biggest relative gainer. Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Sudan, small Oceanic Palau, Cambodia and small African Djibouti holds the lead in relative gainers.

Key governmental actors, Finland and Sweden, failed to convert the hacks and thefts to their advantage.
The amount of stolen capital is less than $1 billion. Finns and Swedes lost $250 billions to the manmade recession.

In 2017 there was still 87 countries, whose GDP was below 2014 levels. Number of winners was 100.
In 2016 number of countries in manmade recession was 120, in 2015 number was 135.

In 2017 economies of United Kingdom, Turkey, Japan and Nigeria fell from the year 2016.
In 2017 Europe, Arabia, IVY countries, Oceania, South America and Africa were still in fairly deep recession.

Word War IV participants - USA and China - messes everything with their lies and cheats.
Co-incidentally both stock market shakes are playing their word games, without significant / important sustainable oil reserves.
- lesser, low priority sugar beet is the only bigger domestic sustainable thing for the modern word war specialists.

Data is based on World Bank's data.  Base tables are arranged with relative total costs. Summary with total cost.

SUMMARY

Midgets, hackers, dogs, gas pump economists and others claimed, that the hacks helped others and brought misery to oil producers.
When oil price falls, first it downgrades producers GDP. Then it downgrades also buyers GDP with the fall in oil price.

When "Total without oil" row matches "Oil producers" row, the fall-hike has no effect to consumer economies.
When consumer fall is bigger, consumers loses. When consumer fall is smaller consumers benefits from the fall.

- world consumes around 80 million barrels oil a day. Before recession oil price was around $100. Yearly oil bill was $2.9 trillions.
- during recession price fell to around $45. Yearly oil bill was $1.3 trillions. The savings in oil bill were $1.6 trillions per year.
- nowadays oil price is around $60. Yearly oil bill is $1.7 trillions. When so, difference to 2014 is $1.2 trillions.

During 2017 oil producers rose to current $60 per barrel GDPs. As group oil producers lost the oil incomes, otherwise their economies remained intact.
When you look at the "Doubled total" row at Adjusted section, in 2017 world without bigs was $1.44 trillions and 3.2 % down from price adjusted 2014 GDP.

The last section casts a dark shadow over three bigs. Hints, that we are talking about three little pigs ... instead of three bigs.
- when oil price falls 50%, nominal GDP should fall. Also then, when consumer economy grows.

- Blue shows producers. Percentage shows the consumers share from announced worldwide, yearly GDP, which is rough match to oil consumption.
- Yellow shows consumers, without 3 bigs. Doubled total scraps the oil price benefit from the consumer totals.
- Doubled total percentage is difference to yellow, consumer GDP total from 2014.

Despite deep quietness, midgets, sports and politics must have known all this.
Remember many stories, where they rejoiced the recessions in oil producer countries.

How do you collect reliable financial data ?
You collect and calculate data in local currency. Local currency data is exchange rate independent. Then you store exchange rates from the collection time.
Usually you show the data with latest exchange rates. Latest rates makes the latest numbers from different countries comparable.
